On this page you will find details of the residential visit in 2009 to St. Michael's Field Study Centre in Hathersage, Derbyshire and information about our outdoor learning area.
We have created a meadow area where have planted wild flower seeds and located bird boxes and feeders.
We have also added recycled tyres and each class has planted their own vegetables or flowers.
We have a school garden in the inner courtyard where we have grown a range of vegetables and plants with the children and where we compost fruit and waste.
We also have hen which lay eggs for us and two rabbits which are very friendly. We include our hens and rabbits in our learning as much as we can. We encourage the children in caring for an being responsible for animals.
We are looking for any parents or grandparents who would like to work with the children in the garden or in the meadow area on a regular basis.
If you would like to find out more information or volunteer, please see Miss Collinson or your child’s class teacher.
We have a School Council and an Eco group ask your child who is their class representative.
